We might not be going many places these days with working from home and virtual gatherings. So why even think of your outfit?? This won’t be the case forever. That doesn’t mean we need to do away completely with our sense of style. Especially as more and more people get vaccinated, life back to ways as we once knew it or some form of it is eminent.
Chic Outfit
Whether you feel this way or not, there are some items that are so easy to style that they can serve a purpose in the most humble of outings, like going to the grocery store. Some fashion items are just inherently chic and will instantly elevate any outfit they are paired with. Whether you choose to style them a more classic way or make them your own, any basic outfit can be transformed with even just one of these pieces.
Here are a few chic fashion items to have in your wardrobe, as they can instantly elevate any basic outfit.
Head scarf
There are so many ways you can wear a head scarf, and it is worth having this versatile of a piece in your collection. You can wear it around your head, wrap it around your waist, tie it around your bag, and get creative with how you want to wear it. You can find beautiful Italian scarves online from sites like Mirta, where the prints are gorgeous and the quality is high!

Pearl Earrings
Pearl earrings are an incredibly classy piece to have in your collection. Whether you choose to wear them regularly or save them for special occasions, this chic accessory is one you’ll be thankful you have for those days you want to really elevate your look and feel polished. If pearl studs aren’t your style, you can play around with trying drop earrings with a simple pearl or another style that incorporates pearls. It’s a take on the pearl style, but you can make it your own this way.
Beret
A beret is a classic and chic piece. Inspired from Parisian and French fashion in general, this hat is much more chic than a beanie. It gives your outfits a whole new look. Choose a classic colour so it goes with more of your wardrobe. Opt for a fun pop of a colour to mix up your looks.
Pointy Flats
Pointy flats elongate the legs and instantly look stylish. Wear them with trousers, jeans or a dress and it will keep that line going. Flats in general already look more elevated than a sandal or sneaker. The pointy detail is what gives it that bit more.
In the colder months, a great way to elevate an outfit is with a coat, especially a faux fur one. You can really make a stylish statement with a beautiful coat!
Trendy Sunglasses
Trendy sunglasses are in instant ‘wow factor’ to any outfit. You don’t have to spend a lot on them, especially since they are trendy and may not be that way for long. Having one or two pairs that you can reach for to instantly elevate your outfit can be a fun add to your wardrobe! Try on your favourite outfits and you can see an instant change from a classic pair of sunglasses to a trendy one.
The Gist of it
Smartly creating an outfit with simple pieces goes a long way for your style and pocket book. Especially in a volatile time when we don’t know how life will look after the vaccine, it’s prudent to only spend money on classic pieces that you can expand its use. A beret, earrings, scarf, sunglasses are some basic outfit items that are quite versatile and transformative.
What do you add to your basic outfit to give it some pizzaz?
