I am not sure I can say the cause is the rise of social media use and exposure that may have given a rise to men’s grooming and plastic surgery. I am going to believe that maybe it had at least a little bit to do with it.
Plastic Surgery Trends
So, as you’ve figured out, plastic surgery isn’t just for women anymore. Apparently, men are one of the fastest-growing demographics that’s changing the world of plastic surgery. That’s definitely a surprise to me! For once men are the ones giving considerations to how physically appealing they are, as opposed to women. Now, not only can I look at women and wonder whether she’s had anything done, but I can do that to men too!
I know for one that hair implantation has gained in popularity in recent times, but I think what you are about to read goes further than that.
Men of All Kinds
Men of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds are increasingly interested in getting plastic surgery. A I’ve said, what they’re choosing to get done might surprise you. Dr. Steinbrech noticed a spike in requests around Father’s Day. Very interesting, given that men celebrating Father’s Day aren’t usually the ones you’d think would be the audience of choice given that they would have at least been in a long-term relationship before at least once, or long enough to have had a child or 2. On top of that, my quesiton is, was it the father that made the request for the surgery or the children that think he needs it, or the partner that feels it’s time for daddy to get done up??
Male Surgery Types
Male plastic surgeon Dr. Steinbrech has watched the trends in his niche field come and go.
2019 marked one of the first years that men are openly talking about full body makeovers. According to him, the new go-to surgeries are:
The Daddy Do Over
- A multi-procedure set that includes Hi Definition Liposculpting for abs, eye lifts, and jawline contouring.
- It’s become particularly popular among men in their 30s and 40s who want to keep their youthful appearance.
- Check out before and afters.
Liposuction
- A classic across the board, this longtime favourite helps remove unwanted fat from almost anywhere in the body in order to give a healthier, more toned appearance.
- He also harvests the fat via his body banking procedure (which he trade marked).

Skincare Tips
While you may have pulled up skin, sharpened jaws, or lifted some eyelids, skimming on skincare will not make these effects everlasting. So keep as many wrinkles at bay by following a skin routine that’s basic and easy to commit to.
As part of that routine, ensure you are avoiding the sun and applying sunscreen continuously.
Wash & Moisturize
Wash your face with a face wash and moisturize with a facial moisturizer in the morning and at night. This will dramatically improve your skin’s clearness, reduce lines, and create a more energized appearance.
Invest in a nightly anti-aging cream for men that contains aloe, hyaluronic acid, DMAE, green tea. Use it at night to allow the cream to work with your body’s natural nightly restoring process.
If you want to take it a step further, use an anti-aging skin serum to stimulate collagen production and prevent future signs of aging. Don’t forget about the eyes. It’s the first area that starts aging. Using an eye cream at night will help firm the skin around the eyes. In the morning it reduces dark circles. An eye cream should contain caffeine to stimulate the blood flow around the eyes, reducing darkness and puffiness.
Body Advice
Getting work done on yourself is great but don’t forget that it doesn’t mean you get a pass on exercise, sleep and healthy eating. Nothing ages someone faster than a lifestyle filled with little sleep, no exercise, and terrible food choices.
Here are some of the exercises that work well for men:
- Dumbbell incline curl
- Neutral-grip dumbbell bench press
- Half-kneeling rotational cable chop
- Barbell front squat with heels elevated
- Half-kneeling single-arm bottom-up kettlebell press
- Dumbbell chest-supported row
- Dumbbell floor press
- Barbell hip thrust

The Gist of it
Men are seeking to look younger more and more these days through plastic surgery. While men might be flocking to get liposuction, jawlines restructured or man boobs removed, it should not be forgotten that a skincare routine, exercise and healthy eating are still needed to keep looking young.
