- Meet by the food truck in case anyone gets lost (as if cellphones didn’t exist)
- Dress in layers (because it can get cold in the evenings)
- Dance like no one’s watching
Needs For The Trip
Whether you’ve driving or flying, you’ll be sitting tight for hours in a car or aircraft with little wiggle room. Dressing comfortably and ensuring you’re equipped for times of boredom is essential:
Napping
If you’re one of those that can fall asleep in moving vehicles, then make sure you do it in comfort. The Everlasting Comfort memory foam travel pillow is the Cadillac of the travel pillows. It keeps you cool while you sleep with its gel infusion technology for ventilation, and offers more comfort with its raised lobe contouring.
Keep your phone safe with its mobile phone pocket and your eyes rested with the sleep mask.
Stay Occupied
Keep your mind and fingers occupied throughout the journey with a knitting kit. Make a blanket for lawn-chilling or even a shrug. Layers will help to keep you warm in the evening.
Snacking
Without a doubt, you’ll get hungry. To avoid all cases of hanger grab yourself a pack of Go Better protein bars. They’re super yummy wafer protein bars that are rich in flavour and extremely satisfying.
Coachella Looks Packing List
We all love to see the Coachella looks but when it comes to packing, now that’s a different story. Forget the stress about finding the perfect outfits. Keep your focus on the fun because with a little help from this guide, you’ll cover all your bases to kick-start your festival looks in style.
Jeans
Mavi has some great options to help you get ready for all your ‘fits, whether it be jeans, jackets, or cargos. The Tess Super Skinny comes in a variety of colours perfect to pair with a cute crop top.
If you’re into flare, the Sydney is Mavi’s super on-trend flared jean. The silhouette is figure-flattering and leg-elongating and great for a 70’s inspired look.

Jackets
Tops
Bring back the 90s this festival season with a retro cool-girl look with Saturday School. Inspired by late 80s, early 90s pop culture, Saturday School is a retro graphics collection of knitwear and accessories with Genexer cool kid style.
Celebrity fans include Jonathan Van Ness, Mila Kunis, Lucy Hale. Saturday School focuses on quality fabrications all made in the USA to provide customers with their “favourite t-shirt or sweatshirt, just a little better.” My personal fave is the Today’s Hits Yesterday’s Favourites rainbow t-shirt in black. It’s eye-catching and a super cool addition to your Coachella looks.
Another top that caught my eye is the cropped off-the-shoulder front tie top from Dropship. In contrast to the rainbow tee, it’s super feminine and perfect for tanning your midriff while resting in between shows. The bell sleeves work well with jeans, shorts, even a maxi skirt.
Dress

Back Bagging it
Having a good bag is almost as crucial as having your ticket. Think of it as your true survival kit. Without a place to hold your sunscreen, water bottle, and other essentials, you will be a helpless soul in the middle of the desert. Keep your sanity (and belongings) in check with a Fjällräven’s Kånken backpack.
Perhaps you prefer a crossbody, like this pretty saddle logo tan bag (comes in white too) from Guess. Convenient to add your lipgloss, phone and cards, and small enough for comfort.
Footwear
Wearing the right shoes is essential to ensuring optimal fun at any music festival. Between hours of standing and dancing, and miles of walking, wearing uncomfortable shoes can really rain on your parade. Keep your feet safe, sound and stylin’ in a kickass pair of Dr. Martens that will ensure you stay grooving until the sun comes up.
Headwear
This seems like a no brainer, but let me be clear here – there is nothing worse than a sunburnt scalp. Most festivals offer very little shade so protect yourself from the rays, and potential heat stroke, with a sun hat.
Sunglasses
There’s a lot of inspiration for Coachella looks that came out of Guess’s lookbook. For example, the Vera cat eye sunglasses with rhinestones and a light frame will nicely contour your face.
Accessories
Before you pull out last year’s flower crown (by the way, if you still love it, here’s how you can make your own), get a handle on this choker from Guess that’s just made to be adored.
Makeup & Hair
Although a smoky eye, faux lashes and bright lip will look nice in an air-conditioned hotel room, things might change when you’re out in the middle of the desert. Yeah, you as much as I know that caked on makeup is not the way to go for Coachella looks. Opt out of a full face of makeup and keep it minimal.
A light winged liner instead of eyeshadow, some plumping lipgloss in lieu of lipstick and glitter rather than a highlighter will give you all the glam you need. You’ll want to leave room for your hair to shine with L’Oréal Paris’s Colorista Hair Makeup. It can transform any bland braid into the colour of your dreams (without any commitment). So hello hot pink!!
The Gist of it
Being prepared for the trip is as important as having your tickets for the festival. Coachella looks are not hard to put together but planning is key to ensure you are comfortable and stylish. Having a few key items like jeans, a jacket, a versatile dress, some tees and comfy shoes will go a long way. Your spending on these items doesn’t have to be over the roof since you’ll already be spending enough on site.
