Thrifty Valentines Decorations
Valentines Day may not be a big deal as Christmas or Halloween, but I am on an expedition to redecorate my home with Valentines decorations. It gives an excuse to extend the decorating season and a reason to have fun craft time with our kids. Besides, what am I losing if I can get almost everything on here from the Dollar store, revamp it and make it look like it came out of a Martha Stewart Living magazine??
DIY Canvas Heart Art
Design Improvised really filled their space with love with beautiful heart-shaped wall art made with different materials.
Another super cute idea is this heart-shaped wall art made with red buttons backed with white and black stripes. The perfect addition to a kid’s room.
Clothespin Wreath
I love this idea from Miss Butter Bean. Paint clothespins, line them up against a wire wreath and you are set!
Mason Jar Flower Vase
Mason jars have made their way in every holiday and are the epitome of every DIY queen. It’s no surprise that It All Started With Paint made sure to have a Valentine’s Day version that’s perfect to make with kids.
Heart Doily Garland
Another easy breezy idea for your Valentines decorations, a heart-shaped doily garland idea from Ella Claire. It doesn’t take much or cost lots.
Here’s another type of garland that’s a little more colourful if white is too plain for you.
Valentines Day Trees
Make roses from paper or felt, thanks to Find Inspiration‘s tutorial.
Or gather branches and hang heart shaped kraft paper. Get the tutorial from Simply Kierste.
I Love You Sign
Get inspired from The Idea Room and create your own sign on Canva, Photoshop or Picmonkey and print it.
Heart-Shaped Newsprint Sign
Deck out your hutch with some flowers, trinkets and add a newsprint sign I found on Atta Girl Says.
Love Cushion
The Idea Room is really giving us lots of ideas for Valentines decorations. Check out her printables for help.
Mantle Valentines Decor
Revamp your mantle for Valentines Day as Remodelando la Casa did.
Love Blocks
Spell out love on blocks and add pictures of the best moments you’ve had with your partner just as Stories by Me did.
The Gist of it
Creating beautiful Valentines decoration doesn’t have to be extensive or expensive. Picking ip a few simple items from the dollar store and revamping them to create simple decorations to spread the love around the house is easy with thee ideas.

It’s really easy to create and quite honestly before seeing it on Pinterest, I didn’t even think of it.

So many cute ideas! Makes me wish I were craftier…maybe some day I will have the patience to craft! But I do love seeing how talented others are. Thanks for sharing!
