14 Easy Ways to Get Porcelain Skin

April 4, 2016 · Beauty, Skincare

With summer around the corner, we are all looking to get our skin glowing and achieve that porcelain skin look. Winter dries us out and leaves us looking dull but it’s time to get glowing again. For this linkup, you’ll find out 14 easy ways to get porcelain skin.

Get Porcelain Skin to Brighten it for the Summer

Get porcelain skin in 14 easy ways

#1 Eye Makeup

Brighten your eyes with the Lorac pro palette. It’s packed with 8 shimmer and 8 matte eye shadows in all the shades you need to create the freshest look for a brighter face. Their velvety-smooth shadows are infused with soothing botanicals and are ultra-pigmented to perform wet or dry so you can shade, shadow, line and define your eyes.

#2 Cleanse With a Brightener

Wash your face twice daily to remove all dirt, oil, and makeup away. Cleaning it with a brightening formula will definitely help get you that porcelain skin. Try Murad’s White Brilliance Cleansing Cream. It’s a rich, gently foaming cleanser that purifies and restores skin, utilizing a nourishing blend of Omega-6 Essential Lipids and Jojoba-derived Esters to enhance moisture retention, imparting skin with a silky, smooth texture.

Murad’s White Brilliance products target dull skin, tone for a luminous, brightened complexion. They contain Porcelain Flower Extract, a delicate blossom that helps give the skin that same translucent glow.

With 90% of women agreeing that their skin looks luminous, this stuff works. I know that because I tried it and I can see the difference.

#3 Hydrate With Brilliance

Hydrating your skin is essential to get porcelain skin. Murad’s Luminous Essence is a quick-absorbing, lightweight formula featuring an extract of electrolyte-rich Kunai Root to deliver essential hydration deep into the skin. Red Algae and Indian Fig Extracts gently exfoliate, restore youthful texture and luminosity and prime the skin for optimized penetration of subsequent treatment products.

#4 Even out Your Skin

Even up your skin with a serum. Murad’s Porcelain Serum is a powerful, high-potency serum that enhances skin’s translucence, formulated with 4 brightening technologies that leave the skin with a luminous glow. Porcelain Flower Extract evens and illuminates the skin tone. Green Tea Extract helps promote skin’s brightness and firmness. Hexylresorcinol and Hexapeptide-2 work together to deliver a  visibly radiant and translucent complexion.

#5 Zap Facial Hair Away

Remove unwanted hair for a porcelain skin finish. Get smooth and hairless, without the hassle of plucking, shaving or waxing by using the Tria Laser 4x.

Tria laser 4x

It’s an FDA-approved home laser hair removal system for your face and body. It uses a professional grade diode laser which targets the hair follicle with optimum precision. This is the same technology used by dermatologists in clinics worldwide.

#6 Tone Your Skin

After cleansing, apply a toner. Not only does toner bond products to your skin, it evens the skins tone. Make sure when choosing one you go with a brand that doesn’t dry up your face. My sister recently introduced me to a Rose Water Toner that apparently does great things to your skin.

Toner for face

#7 Highlight

For glowing porcelain skin at night, always apply a highlighter. Sweep it over your cheek bones, on the cupids bow and where the sun might naturally shine. Try E.l.f. Studio Baked Highlighter in Moonlight Pearls for a glowing finish.

#8 Exfoliate

Exfoliation give almost immediate results. Application of your makeup after adding exfoliation into your skincare routine makes your skin work with the makeup so it glows naturally. Go for Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub for smooth skin.

Exfoliate

#9 Prime

To get a summery glow, get a good primer. Priming your face before foundation makes the application smooth or you can apply it alone for a simple glow. I hear a lot of great things about Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.

#10 Milk and Honey Mask

This classic mask works magic for brightening would have to be the classic milk and honey mask. Apply it to clean skin:

  • 1 teaspoon of milk; and
  • 1 warm teaspoon of honey

#11 Brightening Sleeping Facial

Evening out your skin tone and diminishing dark spots is important to get porcelain skin. Waking up with brighter skin when you apply a brightening sleeping facial. Korres Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial, Wild Rose, 1.35 fl. oz. will do the trick.

#12 Drink MORE Water

We know water is the solution to almost anything you need fixing in your body. Toxins will regularly flow out of your body with the more water you drink.

Drink water

#13 Clean Eating

The cleaner your food is, less processed and pre-packaged food you consume, the less toxins will enter your body.  Treat your body well so it reflects on the outside 😉

#14 Take Your Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a nutrient-rich antioxidant that fights off the signs of aging and works as a skin brightener. Get your daily dose for that porcelain skin you want in capsule format or by trying something like the vitamin c serum. Choose the best one for your skin type that you can wear under your makeup.

It’s funny because I think I used to take for granted good skin—now that I’m older and am dealing with older age problems—I’m all about taking care of my skin!
It’s nice that the younger generations are starting to care about these things earlier!!

Karen thank you so much for stopping by. It’s normal to have acne past teenage years as many women and men continue to experience it in adult life. It can be due to your eating habits, changes in any products you use, or simply because you may have oily or combination skin. If you have any of these conditions, I suggest to look into it deeply and see what you can change to reverse the effects.

The Trucker convoy is still going strong and sprea The Trucker convoy is still going strong and spreading around the world. The trump cheerleaders found themselves another excuse to occupy institutional buildings and the cities that house them. While I too am fed up of the mandates, I don’t believe their plights are justified. Yes it’s frustrating the flip flop between closures and reopening, and while they are implemented at times to limit the spread as to alleviate the strain on the healthcare system, as annoying as they are, I don’t think it’s a reason to be shouting freedom on parliament hill, harassing residents or blatantly displaying racist symbols and rhetoric. For the most part, mandates are not stopping anyone from living, going out, even travelling! They’re a temporary inconvenience to our daily lives, but in due time, will be lifted as COVID becomes more manageable. This isn’t the worlds first go around at a pandemic. Each round takes time to return things back to normal…Just go back to 1918 to see what happened…were those public health measures still in effect 5 or 10 years later?? My heart goes out to businesses and employees whose livelihoods have suffered, especially as gov assistance winds down. But like all trends, major events force humanity to readapt (think automation). Vacancy rate has been at an all time high and unemployment back to pre-pandemic levels, proof that many employees and businesses have retooled and transformed. If those convoys feel strongly about protesting, they should protest for healthcare reform. Canada is ranking as the worst in the G7 for healthcare. Our system is riddled with administrators, not enough doctors or nurses. Caps are put in residency spots and foreign trained healthcare workers waste expertise on low-skilled work as they’re deemed “not good enough” to work in the Canadian healthcare system…now that’s something worth shouting freedom for! Swipe left for more.
