There’s a little bit of word play. Sure, I’m grateful for evil eye protection jewelry. I mean, who wouldn’t be thankful for an ornament that keeps you from harms way??
Evil Eye Protection Jewelry Uses
In many cultures, wearing the evil eye is known to keep you safe from jealousy and misfortune. The Talismans and Nazar decoration charms which are eye-like symbols were created to repel the evil eye. They are quite common sight across Eastern and Southern Europe, North Africa, Western and Central Asia.

To make it more practical, it was later transformed into evil eye protection jewelry in forms of necklaces, rings, and bracelets.

Do I believe in it? I believe in the casting of the evil eye. I can’t say I didn’t use to, but I also can’t say I still do.
Where Does This Evil Eye Notion Come From?
According to many beliefs and to Wikipedia:
The evil eye is a curse believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, which is usually given to a person when they are unaware.
This caused many cultures to pursue protective measures against it. While the concept and its significance may vary widely from region to region, the original meanings date back to the Old Testament.
Why Did I Say I’m Grateful for it?
Well, I sure am grateful for how pretty they look. I do own a couple of pieces of evil eye protection jewelry as it is customary for us to receive it in our youth to keep us “safe.”

My post is not only about this jewelry line that not only creates fashionable evil eye protection jewelry, but other cool accessories, it is also about the Gratitude challenge that I was nominated for by Cassie Jahn a zillion months ago. I just never had a chance to write about it since it was a very busy few months. First let’s explore the jewelry line.
Antoanetta, Daughter of a Jeweller
European-born designer Antoanetta started her jewelry design career after Gemmology school in the USA. She was raised in an artistic environment by her father, a jeweller and Master of the Jewelry Guild.
Working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, Antoanetta meets the highest expectations when designing custom pieces. She successfully translates emotions into objects, making every piece a timeless treasure. Antoanetta is grateful for her inspiring team and owes her part of her creativity to them.
Other than the evil eye protection jewelry, here some of the other pieces I favour:

My List of 5 Things I’m Grateful For
1- #myfaith

This is number one for me for a reason. Without it, I would not be alive today. I wouldn’t know where to go or who to ask for help if it weren’t for that. With this, I don’t need evil eye protection jewelry to protect me, I know I’m always looked after. While some things may take time to be answered, they’re always answered in some form or another. It is a private matter for me that I seldom share with others, because it’s mine and no one else’s.
2- #myfamily
This goes without mention. I am grateful to have my 3 beautiful boys, that constantly keep me on my feet, on high alert, awaiting the next bowl of milk to fall, or decor piece to fall to its death, or another bruise to the head to form.
I’m grateful for my husband, his sense of humour and incredible amount of knowledge and wittiness. Without him I would not have a roof over my head as God knows I’m awful with money but make up for it in creativity, hard work and tenacity.
Thank you to my dear parents for making me who I am today, helping me, raising me, and teaching me along the way. For giving me what you could not give yourselves. To my sisters, thank you for being my best friends, sharing and arguing with me, and being there even when we didn’t agree.
3- #myfriends
To my friends, I thank you for being my second family. For sharing some of the best moments with me, and for understanding when I tell you I have crazy kids! I love that I can count on you for almost everything, especially since my parents and sister live far away. Thank you for being there and all the wonderful times and the adventures we’ve spent together, the talks and the great times we’ve shared. A special thank you for making us part of your families.
4- #myinspirations

Without my inspiration and creative outlets, I would not be who I am. Whether I sometimes foresee it as a curse or a blessing, it surely is part of me and I am grateful for it for making me unique and giving me the ability to help others
5- #beingCanadian

With all the horror happening around us in the world, I am so grateful to call Canada home where I can live without constant fears of being killed or pushed out of my house. I am grateful to be a citizen of a country that values its people, protects them and offers them a high quality of life.
