5 Ways to Wear Short Party Dresses with Rose Gold Jewellery for Your Ultimate Holiday Look

Navy lace short dress

Have you thought of what you’ll be wearing this holiday season?

If you haven’t, allow me to help you figure out what to wear…especially if you’re thinking of adding a rose gold touch to your ensemble. With watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces made in this colour, it’s become a staple in a jewellery box. Bear in mind, I’ll keep the jewellery element confined to simple, feminine jewellery that doesn’t meant to complement the elaborate details of the dresses.

To help you pair up jewels with dresses, I’ve found a few short party dresses from Pickedresses that would look awesome on you this holiday season. So from here until the end of the post, think of me as your virtual style assistant.

Prelude – Dress for Your Body Shape

First things first, before we play dress-up with rose gold jewellery or fun party dresses, be sure to go for styles that suit your body type. I cannot stress this enough. You want to make sure you play up your best parts, and hide what’s not the most flattering. Event he skinniest girls have pros and cons in their slim figures, so don’t think it’s a skinny/fat thing, it’s a body shape thing.

Check out Who What Wear’s complete guide to wearing the right pieces for your body type.

Short Party Dresses Styles to Wear with Rose Gold Jewellery

Back to Basics

While it may seem a little more than a Plain Jane look for some of you, the absence of embroidery, lace, beading, sequins, or any other embellishment would classify this style, as a classic basic to have in you wardrobe. It doesn’t translate into boring, it just doesn’t have all the bells and whistles other dresses would.

If this type of dress speaks to you more, it is the perfect piece to play up with rose gold jewellery. As a blank canvas to your fashion expression, adding on rose gold jewellery in the form of earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets is great. The rose gold jewellery pieces I recommend for this dress are:

Embroidered Dress

For the more embellished styles such as this embroidered dress, adding sparkles through your jewels is a great way of giving it dimension.

With this sweetheart neckline, you have the option of wearing your hair down and adding a necklace.

If you prefer your hair up, I’d suggest earrings.

Intensify your look by accessorising with a couple of bracelets and rings.

Lace it up

This lace option is super fun because it has many facets to it. The open back with the draping, the lace, and the beaded collar.

Seeing that it already has several elements to it, it would be wise to limit your accessorising to rings and possibly stud earrings.

The second option allows to play a little more with rose gold jewellery seeing that the style is simpler in shape.

While the neckline might still have some detailing, I’d still opt for a necklace that would add some shimmer and shine to it.

Rings would also be a great add-on for this look.

Mid Riff is on the Rise

The mid riff is super hot right now! Now it’s making its debut in party dresses as well. What’s awesome about these is you can mix and match the pieces.

For this particular number, I’d love to see rose gold jewellery such as bracelets and funkier earrings paired with it.

The colour is so vibrant and would be so well complimented by the softness of the pinkish hue in the rose gold jewellery. I wouldn’t wear any necklaces to not take away from the mid-riff peaking through detailing.

Peak-a-boo, I See You

See through has been lingering around for a while in short party dresses trends as well as in activewear leggings. I’ve seen it used in so many designer collections. It’s elegant and uber sexy, shows just the right amount of skin without going overboard.

This dress has ultimate drama written all over it thanks to the see-through effect, the draping, as well as the beading.

With so much going on, you want to limit the amount of rose gold jewellery you add to it. That doesn’t mean go jewellery-free. In fact, I think that would take away from it, you just have to know how much to add and where to place it.

So while everything I say here is optional, having your hair up is probably best for this style, which means, grab some earrings. You want something that hangs but isn’t necessarily large.

Simplicity is key here when it comes to accessorising. You can add a cool ring for extra pizzazz…

There you have it. Hope this post helped in determining the type of dress you’ll be going for this season.
