How to be Chic in Sequins and Silver Swing Earrings

October 17, 2015 · Fashion, Holidays, Style tips, Womenswear

I just published a guide on how to create practical holiday décor in the home, now it’s time to discuss the outfit. Being chic in sequins and silver swing earrings is easier than you think!

Understated Chic

For the holidays, or any other event you may have coming up, I love the understated look with simple detailing that pop at you. I found this look on Pinterest which then led me to Fab You Bliss blog.

Copy the Look

I’m gonna copy the look using similar pieces I found online. You’ll find most of the pieces I picked are elegant, versatile, classic, and work super well with other outfits. Here’s the result and then I’ll tell you where to get each piece from.

Holiday outfit roundup

Sequins Jumper

I found the black sequins V-neck jumper on Missy Dress Au. It’s a simple dress that you can add a necklace, earrings, funky bracelets, anything. It’s pretty much a blank canvas.

Sterling Silver Swing Earrings

To accessorize it I’m really digging these as they are simple, yet super original. I’ve not seen anything like them. They’re sterling silver swing earrings paved with cubic zirconium and they’re super trending!

White rhodium cubic zirconium pave sterling silver swing earrings

These stud earrings from One by One Jewellery have seven small cubic zirconium paved silver discs supported below the earlobe for style and balance. They’re high quality sterling silver plated with white rhodium to completely prevent tarnishing. They’re perfect addition to any outfit. If you’re in the U.K. and buy these sterling silver swing earrings, you get free shipping. Plus as a bonus, no matter where you live, they’ll deliver your package in beautiful gift wrapping, making them an easy choice as a present.

Functional Arm Candy

On your arm, you’ll want to wear this exclusive design from Bittersweet. It not only serves as bright shiny arm candy, but as a holder to your hair tie in a really neat, and stylish way.

The Alexander Wang Sandals

I’m sure you’ve seen the Alexander Wang T strap gladiator stack heel sandals on the in the fashion mags. To add the final styling touch, I particularly like it because you can dress it up or down. Rather than just go with a basic strap high heel sandals, this is a more suitable option as it’s the detailing of the leg straps that give it that understated sexiness and appeal. While they’re sold out in most places, I found similar ones on eBay.

What’s your chic style, holiday or other? Does it involve sequins and silver swing earrings?

The Trucker convoy is still going strong and sprea The Trucker convoy is still going strong and spreading around the world. The trump cheerleaders found themselves another excuse to occupy institutional buildings and the cities that house them. While I too am fed up of the mandates, I don’t believe their plights are justified. Yes it’s frustrating the flip flop between closures and reopening, and while they are implemented at times to limit the spread as to alleviate the strain on the healthcare system, as annoying as they are, I don’t think it’s a reason to be shouting freedom on parliament hill, harassing residents or blatantly displaying racist symbols and rhetoric. For the most part, mandates are not stopping anyone from living, going out, even travelling! They’re a temporary inconvenience to our daily lives, but in due time, will be lifted as COVID becomes more manageable. This isn’t the worlds first go around at a pandemic. Each round takes time to return things back to normal…Just go back to 1918 to see what happened…were those public health measures still in effect 5 or 10 years later?? My heart goes out to businesses and employees whose livelihoods have suffered, especially as gov assistance winds down. But like all trends, major events force humanity to readapt (think automation). Vacancy rate has been at an all time high and unemployment back to pre-pandemic levels, proof that many employees and businesses have retooled and transformed. If those convoys feel strongly about protesting, they should protest for healthcare reform. Canada is ranking as the worst in the G7 for healthcare. Our system is riddled with administrators, not enough doctors or nurses. Caps are put in residency spots and foreign trained healthcare workers waste expertise on low-skilled work as they’re deemed “not good enough” to work in the Canadian healthcare system…now that’s something worth shouting freedom for! Swipe left for more.
