A couple original concepts for eco-friendly fashion products have come across my desk this week that I’d like to share with you.

I’m always fascinated by people when they come up with new innovations. Especially when it’s a basic idea that’s turned into brilliance. As a maker of an original concept myself with my reversible pocket square, I do enjoy reviewing these novelties.

The Bentwood Rings

The first of the eco-friendly fashion products is the handcrafted eco-friendly ring from Northwood Rings This bentwood style ring is made of reclaimed wood, or sourced from reputable companies. All its components are pulled from known origins, including the gemstones and metals. Best of all, when you purchase one of these bentwood rings, a part of the profits goes to the Canadian Parks and Wildlife Foundation (CPAWS) as well as the Coral Reef Alliance.

For Women

I’ve seen wooden rings before, but never knew that they actually came in gorgeous, trendy, and luxurious styles such as this moissanite and wood engagement ring. Moissanite is an eco-friendly alternative to diamonds.

I find this one to be particularly funky. It would rate well with any outfit. It’s made of Santos Rosewood, and the sand inlay makes it sparkle as if it were shiny stones.

For ultra style, you can top two wooden rings together, or one wooden ring with a gold or silver band. It surely would make a fashion statement.

For the Lads

This men’s style birch wood with ebony inlay ring caught my eye. Whether your style is laid back, preppy, or dressy, this ring would add total funkiness to your look.

If you’re older, otherwise more mature, try this grey maple ring. It speaks of your wisdom and life experience that would otherwise go unnoticed.

The Mechanic

The second of the eco-friendly fashion products is not necessarily eco-friendly in its make but rather in the way it’s applied. The Mechanic Sneaker is part of DZR’s Street Collection. It’s a bicycle-riding shoe that pushes the limit of what a traditional biking shoe should look and feel like.
