I’ll admit, I was a little weary of harem pants when they first came out. I wasn’t sure this was something I was going to invest in and if I did, how?? Most of you will think it odd coming out of a stylist, admitting that I was unsure how to wear harem pants.
It wasn’t so much about what to pair them with. Even if I lacked ideas, there are tons of guidance online I could seek. It was more about what style of harem pants to wear, and what to pair them with to flatter MY figure.
Figure Flattery
You see I am what they call a pear shape. So not every fad, trend, or style that comes out will necessary show off my best features. I, like most women, have to tread carefully. There was more than just figure flattery here. I would ask myself, as I would with any trend that comes out, will it last?
Normally what I do is I let the seasons go by and see if the look lasts. If it stays for some time, it indicated to me that the trendsetters have voted the look in for the next little while. I don’t like to buy into fads, that’s why I wait, to see if it’s worthwhile. Then I’ll test it on my body with different options. If it passes, I’ll grab a few pairs.
The Harem Pants is Here to Stay
It’s safe to say that the harem pant has been around for some time now. The crotch drop level has varied from time to time but essentially the MC Hammer vs. Aladdin inspiration remains strong.

A Few Tips
There are some tips to dressing up or down a harem pant:
If you’re going with a blazer, go with sleek lines. Avoid too much detailing as there’s already much happening at the bottom.
Collared dress shirts are ok, but collar-less blouses are even better. Go with an option that’s body-hugging.
Don’t be afraid to go with glam accessories to dress it up, especially if your top is basic.
If it’s to the beach you’re headed, choose leather wrist bands, bold stone rings and charmed necklaces and bracelets.
If the shoe goes, then it’s a go. Any type of shoe goes. To dress it up, try a pointy toe pump for added sexiness. For the long walks, a gladiator sandal does the trick!

Lol those One Tribe pants are not handmade with local dyes, they’re mass produced in sweatshop factories throughout Thailand and sold for like 2 dollars everywhere! Hate seeing people lying and misleading others like that!!!! I guess they dont believe in karma!!!
