Sending Flowers From a Real Local Florist

January 6, 2015 · Decor/Craft DIY, Home Décor, Lifestyle

I’m regularly taking on questions from family and friends about flowers in decor. After all, most people do not buy them frequently enough to know the best places, or what type of flowers they should get.

Flowers Are For Every Occasion

Flowers are a beautiful in a home and also make for a great gift. They are a fashionable statement in the home. They work for all occasions; visit the in-laws, finding a last minute gift for your significant other, etc. They are perfect for any day and any occasion.

But where to go for the best flowers? For some people, this is as simple as finding a local floral shop in your area. They will be able to meet all of your needs when it comes to arrangements. They will have the flowers ready for delivery or pick-up when you need them.

Online Orders

If you are like millions of other people around the nation, then you go online to order. While this may seem like a convenient idea, the fact is that many of these businesses are merely order gatherers. They are not florists. They will pretend like they are, and will fool thousands of people every year. They have websites and ads to attract new customers. More than likely, they are just a few people in a call centre taking your order and placing it with a local florist.

More Money, Less Flower Power

They perform the task on your behalf. They almost always take a chunk of the money from the order by inflating the price of different aspects of the floral arrangement and passing the costs off to you. For example, they will charge you a huge shipping and handling fee that your local florist would not, even though they are not actually doing any of the handling.

They can also bill you a considerable delivery charge. While they sometimes split this with the local florist, ultimately, it’s coming out of your pocket. The worst is after they’ve taken your order, they will buy a cheaper version of what you actually wanted and have it shipped over to you. It allocates them higher profits and gives you a lower quality arrangement.

They’ve become very talented at hiding the fact that they are order gatherers and not true florists. They flood the online market with websites and phone numbers taking ad space away from real local florists. They have the money to pay for high ranking spots online blocking you from connecting directly with a good florist.

In Full Bloom

To avoid order gatherers and gain access to reputed local florists, go to Bring Flowers website. They can put you on the right track to reach the best local flower shops. They also have a variety of resources and tips to enhance your floral experience.

The Trucker convoy is still going strong and sprea The Trucker convoy is still going strong and spreading around the world. The trump cheerleaders found themselves another excuse to occupy institutional buildings and the cities that house them. While I too am fed up of the mandates, I don’t believe their plights are justified. Yes it’s frustrating the flip flop between closures and reopening, and while they are implemented at times to limit the spread as to alleviate the strain on the healthcare system, as annoying as they are, I don’t think it’s a reason to be shouting freedom on parliament hill, harassing residents or blatantly displaying racist symbols and rhetoric. For the most part, mandates are not stopping anyone from living, going out, even travelling! They’re a temporary inconvenience to our daily lives, but in due time, will be lifted as COVID becomes more manageable. This isn’t the worlds first go around at a pandemic. Each round takes time to return things back to normal…Just go back to 1918 to see what happened…were those public health measures still in effect 5 or 10 years later?? My heart goes out to businesses and employees whose livelihoods have suffered, especially as gov assistance winds down. But like all trends, major events force humanity to readapt (think automation). Vacancy rate has been at an all time high and unemployment back to pre-pandemic levels, proof that many employees and businesses have retooled and transformed. If those convoys feel strongly about protesting, they should protest for healthcare reform. Canada is ranking as the worst in the G7 for healthcare. Our system is riddled with administrators, not enough doctors or nurses. Caps are put in residency spots and foreign trained healthcare workers waste expertise on low-skilled work as they’re deemed “not good enough” to work in the Canadian healthcare system…now that’s something worth shouting freedom for! Swipe left for more.
