French perfumer, Olfactive Body Object or OBO, offers a new way to wear fragrance for women.

The Olfactive Body Object Pearl Fragrances

The OBO fragrances, which are embedded into pearls, are worn as part of a jewel for a perfume experience to last through the day.

This French startup company has brought a fresh idea to the world of fragrance with its new fragrance wear, the OBO Pearl. Worn as a bracelet or hanging by a pendant, the OBO Pearl contains perfume that is applied by rolling the pearl against the skin. It is worn on the wrist in a bracelet, or against the chest pending from a necklace. To apply the fragrance, the wearer simply grasps the Pearl, which is held in place by magnets, detaches from the jewellery and is pressed across the skin to release the fragrance within.

“The OBO Pearl extends the pleasure of perfuming skin,” said Julien Cohen of OBO. “Using a sensual gesture, the Pearl brings body and fragrance into a perfect union.”

Fragrances in the first collection are Symmetry, Solar Epilogue, and 23:58.

Each Pearl is made of glass with a silver finishing. The applicator is hypoallergenic marble. The jewellery in which the Pearl is nestled is available in two finishings, black resin and white resin, and the bracelet comes in two sizes to fit most wrists.

The OBO Collaboration

Created by French perfumers Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel from FLAIR, designers from Aesthete and engineers, Olfactive Body Object is revolutionizing how women interact with fragrance.

OBO, in collaboration with some of France’s finest perfumers, the creators will be executing eight unique fragrances with notes ranging from oriental to floral. The choice of fragrance is determined by personality and style questions, guided to fuse with the wearer’s unique skin.

“Our team of perfumers has perfected a unique scent pro­longing model,” said Julien. “The pearls are filled with fragrance created by some of the finest French perfumers.”

OBO Crowdfunding

The Olfactive Body Object crowdfunding team was seeking to raise to raise €80,000 by July 1 to help with manufacturing expenses.

The contribution terms were, those contributing €1,500 would receive a custom pendant and bracelet with six pearls. For €2,040 they would have received a family pack containing 10 black drop pendants, 10 metal pebble pendants, 10 black bracelets, and 10 white bracelets with 120 pearls. Contributors giving €5,000 would be invited to create their own fragrance as well as receive a bracelet, a pendant, and 30 pearls containing the created fragrance.

Supporters of Olfactive Body Object’s crowdfunding campaign would receive some of the first products at value pricing (starting price 60€). Those contributing €125 would receive a pebble pendant engraved with a name of choice with three pearls. Contributors giving €130 would receive both a black drop pendant, and black resin bracelet with six fragrance pearls. Contributors giving €135 would receive either an engraved black bracelet or an engraved white bracelet with three pearls.
