Striped Dress Style Tip

It’s fun to see what I wore at an NYE 2009 party. My FCUK striped dress was purchase during the holidays. I wore it with at the time, my over-the-knee length boots when that style first became a hit.

Striped Dress Still Cherished

The dress I still have and wear from time to time. The boots too, but they came to an end earlier this year (2019). I added a leather/suede extension to them to make them thigh-high and a lace-back. They look amazing especially because I can fold them two different ways, adding to their versatility.

Given a New Life

This an older post I just revived. What’s funny about my style tip, edition of me stories is that I realised I kind of always tried to match with my husband. It’s cute because I still try to do that sometimes when we are at weddings or formal parties. It’s a little bit unconscious but maybe it’s because I feel we’d look better on the dance floor when we have coordinated outfits…lol

The Striped Dress Story

Again the quality of the photo isn’t great but it was taken with my not so great phone (a Blackberry at the time…lol…phones today are so much sharper when it comes to photography). This was at NYE 2009 party…I had bought the 2 part dress (slip and dress) from French Connection in Toronto, and wore it with over the knee boots when they weren’t so popular.

Coordinating With The Hubby

My hubby, dressed in slim black pants and velvet blazer with pink shirt and tie. Although this was 2 years ago (now this is up to almost 6 years ago, where has time gone???), the look can still be pulled today.

Again, apologies about the low quality of the pics but believe me I’ve come a long way from the days back then. I truly enjoy re-looking at these moments and thinking how much simpler it was for me…now with responsibilities piling up, I dwell on those days…lol
