A week ago Target in Billings Bridge Shopping Centre opened in Ottawa. As in normal Ottawa fashion, any long-awaited chain store or brand is welcomed with open arms.
Bloggers from across the city gathered to the bloggers breakfast on Tuesday morning as of 7 a.m. at the upper level of the mall for muffins, croissants and Tim Horton’s coffee.

After fueling our bodies with enriched carbohydrates, we channeled our way through to the external entrance of the soon to open Target store to get in line with the rest of the folks. No time was wasted in tweeting, photographing and sharing conversations amongst ourselves as we were handed our loot bags for extra goodies.
At 8 a.m. the valentine-coloured employees welcomed us into Target’s doors as people shoved their way through to the Philip Lim section to grab the latest purse released by the outstanding designer.
Within minutes the rack was empty. I overheard a cashier say $632 worth if purses purchased by 1 customer!!! Like I said, long-awaited….
Marilou, from Twenty York Street, and Leah snatching some of the Philip Lim purses. We tried different items on, and in fear of losing our sizes, we stuck by our territory and took pictures of ourselves instead of seeking mirrors.
As we narrowed down our selection to a more reasonable pile, we made our way through to the cash register. A few days following the event, I proudly donned my leopard dress for my friend and colleagues Marilou from Twenty York Street to snatch photos of me showing it off. Check out her post here.
